Accessibility Statement.
We’re committed to making thetaxlead.ae accessible to everyone, including users of assistive technology. Here’s how we approach it and how to flag issues.
Our commitment
We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA conformance across every page of thetaxlead.ae. Accessibility is baked into our design system and build process — not retrofitted after the fact. We regularly test with keyboard navigation, screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows), and high-contrast modes.
What we’ve built in
- Semantic HTML — proper headings, landmarks (nav, main, section, aside, footer), lists where lists are called for, buttons that are actually buttons.
- Keyboard-navigable — every interactive element reachable via Tab, with visible focus outlines (amber, 2px, 3px offset).
- Skip link — every page starts with a "Skip to content" link so screen readers don’t re-announce nav on each page.
- Alt text — descriptive alt text on all meaningful images; empty alt on decorative images so screen readers skip them.
- Colour contrast — body text 4.5:1 minimum against background; large text 3:1 minimum.
- Scalable text — relative font sizing (rem/em) so text scales 200%+ without layout breakage.
- Reduced-motion respect — CSS
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query honoured; animations shortened to near-zero where set. - Form labels — every form input has an associated label (visible or sr-only); required fields marked properly.
- ARIA roles — used sparingly; semantic HTML preferred.
Known gaps
In the interests of honesty:
- Our Pagefind client-side search widget relies on JavaScript for keyword matching; a non-JS fallback is in planning.
- Playbook PDFs (coming soon) — we aim for tagged accessible PDFs but historical versions may be image-only. Email us for a plain-text equivalent of any specific playbook.
- Third-party embeds (Google Maps on contact page, scheduling tool on Discovery Call page) have their own accessibility shape — limitations noted in context.
Assistive technology we test with
- Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS 14+, iOS 17+), NVDA (Windows), TalkBack (Android).
- Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, latest versions.
- Zoom: 200%, 300%, 400% browser zoom; macOS Zoom; Windows Magnifier.
- Keyboard-only: Full-site keyboard navigation test on every major page.
